Privacy Policy

This page explains in plain language what happens to your information when you use umuttandogan.com ("Site", "we"). The formal, detailed notice is in the Privacy Notice, and the details about cookies are in the Cookie Policy.

In brief

You do not need to give your name, e-mail or any other information to browse the site.
Your information reaches us only if you fill in the contact form.
There is no tool that tracks or measures your visit or shows advertisements.
Your information is kept on our own servers; it is not transferred abroad, sold or shared with third parties.
Form messages are kept for 6 months, then deleted.

When you only browse the site

No information is asked of you while you read the pages. There is no membership, login or registration.

As on every website, the server records some technical information for a limited period so that the pages can reach you: your IP address, the type of your browser and the address of the last page you visited. The server's access and error logs contain this information too.

These records are kept for the operation and security of the site; they are not used to identify you, to follow your visits or to build a profile of you. The periods are set out in the Privacy Notice.

The site uses two cookies that are essential for it to work. You can find out what they are and how to delete them in the Cookie Policy.

When you write to us

In the form on the Contact page you need to enter your name, your e-mail address, the subject and your message. Telephone number and country are optional; if you are writing from abroad, the country helps in arranging a suitable consultation time.

Your message is saved in the site's database and a copy reaches us as an e-mail notification; no automatic reply is sent to you.

When you send the form, the time of sending, your record of information and your IP address are saved together with these details. Your IP address is kept to prevent misuse of the form, and your record of information is kept so that it can be shown that you have read the privacy notice.

We use what you write only to get back to you. We do not add you to a newsletter or send promotional messages.

A request concerning health information

The contact form is not a tool for examination or medical assessment.

Do not send your medical history, test results, reports or imaging records through the form. A short note is enough.
The form is not suitable for emergencies. In an emergency, call 112 or go to the nearest emergency department.

If you nevertheless write information about your health in your message, that information is used only to reply to your request. If you wish, you can ask for your message to be deleted before the 6-month period ends.

When you reach us by WhatsApp, telephone or e-mail

The site contains WhatsApp, telephone and e-mail links. These links do not pass on any information until you click them.

When you click, the conversation takes place outside the site, through the relevant service's own application: WhatsApp, your telephone operator or your e-mail provider. How these services process your data depends on their own terms and privacy policies; we have no control over this.

The statements on retention and transfer in these texts apply only to the site and the contact form. Services such as WhatsApp may process data on their own servers, including abroad; whether or not to use these channels is your choice.

We recommend that you do not send detailed health information or documents when writing through these channels either.

Links to other sites

The site contains links to other sites, such as maps, Instagram, hospital and university pages and press coverage. These are links only; there are no maps, videos or social media content embedded in our pages.

When you click a link, that site's own privacy rules apply. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.

No one, except where there is a legal requirement.

The only exception is where a law makes it mandatory, or where an authorised public body or judicial authority makes a lawful request. In such a case only the information requested is shared, and only with that authority.

How do we protect your information?

Messages can be accessed only by the people authorised to manage the site, through a password-protected administration panel.
The contact form passes through a security check that prevents other sites from making a submission on your behalf.
A large number of form submissions in a row is limited automatically.
No external scripts, fonts or tracking tools are loaded into the page.

No transmission over the internet is entirely free of risk. For this reason we recommend that you do not write sensitive information you are not obliged to share.

Children

This site is not intended for children. If you are under 18, we ask that the form be filled in by your parents or your legal representative.

Your rights

You can find out what information is held about you and ask for it to be corrected if it is wrong, or to be deleted. The full list of your rights is in the Privacy Notice.
